Brittany Matthews apparently isn’t afraid to cut ties.
The wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes reposted cryptic quotes to her Instagram Story on Monday amid the Jackson Mahomes sex affair.
“As you get older, you begin to understand the difference between friends and associates, family and blood, business and work, love and lust, want and need. And most importantly what is important and what who isn’t,” read a quote from Matthews’ post.
A second slide featured a different quote: “Unfortunately, many of you have met me when I lacked boundaries and was a people pleaser. Let me reintroduce myself, I’ll cut ties if necessary.
Matthews added, “Sheesh” with a cheering emoji.
Her messages came shortly after she and Mahomes, owners of the KC Current NWSL team, attended the Current vs. San Diego Wave game on Sunday with their daughter Sterling Skye, 2, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, born in November 2022.
Matthews and Mahomes have yet to publicly address the assault allegations against Jackson, whose case is ongoing.

Jackson posted $100,000 bond after his brief appearance in Johnson County District Court in Texas on May 3, according to the outlet.
Brandan Davies, an attorney for Jackson, said his client “did nothing wrong” in a March statement.
“Our investigation uncovered substantial evidence refuting the Jackson accuser’s claims, including statements from multiple witnesses,” Davies said.
“We have contacted law enforcement to provide them with the outcome of our investigation so they can get a full picture of the case.”
During an Instagram Q&A in April, Matthews defended Jackson when one person asked, “What do you think of the comments on your BIL?”
