Ice-T warns artists against appearing on podcasts

Ice-T revealed that he’s not a fan of modern podcasts.

Taking to his Twitter account on Friday, May 12, the “New Jack Hustler” rapper-turned-SVU The star has warned young rappers not to participate in podcast shows lest their words be twisted into something otherwise unrecognizable.

“Civil Service Artists: Doing interviews can be risky if you don’t know what you’re doing,” he said. “They’ll talk to you for hours hoping you’ll say one thing they can TWIST and hype for clicks. Sadly most podcasts have now DEVOLVED into this BS. I’m just saying.

As the OG of the Hip Hop genre, Ice-T has earned a lot of respect from his contemporaries and younger generations.

That’s why it was no surprise that he received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in February.

Joining Ice-T at the event will be fellow Hip Hop pioneer Chuck D, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit co-star Mariska Hargitay and Law and order creator Dick Wolf as guest speakers.

“Ice-T is a cultural icon and a hit in both the music and television industries. Her fans will be thrilled to see their favorite performer placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said in a statement.

Ice-T’s star will mark the 2,747th addition to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. They will only become the 11th hip-hop group to receive a star after Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, LL COOL J, Diddy, Ice Cube, Pharrell, Missy Elliott and Queen Latifah.
