Princess Kate shocks Eurovision viewers with surprise piano cameo

Kate Middleton shocked viewers around the world on Saturday when she made a surprise appearance in the opening scene of the Eurovision Song Contest grand finale, playing the piano as part of a rendition of Ukraine’s winning song from the Eurovision Song Contest. ‘last year.

The Princess of Wales played a few opening bars of Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra’s song “Stefania” in a brief 10-second performance at the start of the programme.

She wore a stunning blue Jenny Packham dress and earrings that belonged to the late Queen in the pre-recorded clip, according to the BBC.

The color of the dress is said to have been chosen to reflect the Ukrainian flag.

The performance was recorded earlier this month in the Crimson Drawing Room at Windsor Castle and was part of a performance that included contributions from Lord Lloyd-Webber, Sam Ryder, Mrs Banks, Ballet Black, Bolt Strings and Joss Stone.

The Eurovision grand final was to be seen by no less than 160 million people worldwide.

This year’s competition, the 67th, was held at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool, England, after last year’s winners Ukraine were unable to host amid of the ongoing war with Russia.

The brief appearance of the Princess of Wales shocked the public.

This is the first time in the past 25 years that the competition has taken place in the UK.

King Charles and Queen Camilla also made a surprise Eurovision appearance in a pre-recorded video on Tuesday, just days after Charles’ coronation.

In the clip, which lasts just a few seconds, Queen Camilla, wearing a royal blue coat dress, and King Charles, wearing a navy suit jacket and royal blue patterned tie, stand together backstage as people in elaborate costumes pass by.

Kate wore a dress and earrings that belonged to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
